A photograph documents a happy time in your life & is something to look back on.
What I do is record those moments & make them last.
I am lucky to do what I love for a living & I try not to lose sight of that.
Since photographing my first wedding in 2007, I have been fortunate enough to photograph weddings all across the UK, extensively throughout London & further afield (Central Park in New York City, Mount Etna in Sicily & St. Paul’s Cathedral in London are a few of my favourites).
It never gets boring, each week brings new possibilities & the next photo is always there to be taken.
I believe in a natural style of photography which ensures you won't spend your wedding day constantly posing for photos, I will find the moments rather than stage them. Just like every other day in your life, nothing on your wedding day should be forced.
A Few Things I Have Done At Weddings:
I have shot weddings in fields, barns hotels, stately homes, back gardens, working men’s clubs & everywhere in between.
In that time I have seen every kind of occasion & I know the memories are the same no matter where or how you choose to get married.
I still feel a sense of pride each time a couple trust me to photograph their wedding.
where are you based?
I live in London but I travel nationwide (and abroad) to photograph weddings.
I have wheels, a passport & a strong sense of adventure so I am always happy to travel to your wedding wherever it is taking place.
Photographing at different venues & meeting people from all over the world keeps it fresh to me, I can’t imagine shooting at the same church every week.
I regularly work in Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex & throughout the UK.
Tell Us About You?
I grew up in Darlington in the north east of England & spent my time watching Star Wars on VHS, making mixed tapes for the car & smashing my Mum’s greenhouse with a football.
I moved to London in 2004 & I’ve moved around a fair bit in that time from Islington (7 people in 1 house!) to Camden, Ladbroke Grove to Shoreditch, Seven Sisters (my first photo studio) to Walthamstow.
I started taking photography seriously back in 2005. Then after picking up a Walker Evans photo book during a road trip in California I decided photography would become my life.
In 2007 I got my first commissions & quit the day job soon after & I have been lucky to shoot all sorts over the years: headshots, fashion, sports, corporate, live music & of course weddings.
